We are honored to be recognized for our contribution towards Climate Neutral Now by IGAD-Climate Prediction and Application Center with support from Council of the European Union and Kenya Ministry of Environment & Forestry in this 2021 Climate Action Awards East Africa 2021 alongside KenGen and Safaricom PLC.
This accomplishment is a significant milestone on our efforts to mitigate the effects of Climate Change through our project; The Waste Free Park Initiative at Nairobi National Park. Through the Initiative, we have been able to;
- Distribute 5000 litter bags to tourist vehicles both private and public.
- Sensitize 30,000 visitors and the general public on matters related to Environmental Conservation and Wildlife protection.
- Spend 500-man hours on the ground by the team in distribution of litter bags, collection of feedback and sensitization to the general public on matters related to Environmental Conservation and Wildlife Protection.
- Incorporate 50 youth who have been trained on Climate Change Mitigation.
