My grade, My trees is a project targeting children (younger generation) to plant and nurture as many trees as the grade they are in i.e. a student in class/grade one has a responsibility of planting and nurturing 1 tree when they cross over to the next grade the responsibility increases and they are encouraged to planting and nurturing extra two trees to add on to the one tree that they had planted the previous year and the cycle continues.
Overview
My grade, My trees is a project targeting children (younger generation) to plant and nurture as many trees as the grade they are in i.e. a student in class/grade one has a responsibility of planting and nurturing 1 tree when they cross over to the next grade the responsibility increases and they are encouraged to planting and nurturing extra two trees to add on to the one tree that they had planted the previous year and the cycle continues.
The Initiative is aimed at increasing the current tree coverage upwards to hit and surpass the target by the constitution of 10% tree cover. 3Es also aims at nurturing young future environmental champions into upholding environmental conservation efforts and encouraging those that will come after them to do the same.
3Es aims at partnering with like-minded organisations, institutions and entities to reach out to even more children so that we can secure future environmental sustainability.
Goals
Green Environment: Increasing the tree coverage through the planting and nurturing of trees to maturity by the younger generation.
Environmental Conservation Awareness among the young: Through support of such initiatives 3Es Experience aims at encouraging individual responsibility of environmental conservation among the young which will ensure future continuity of an environmental conservation attitude
Expected impact of the project.
1. Future environmental champions – the initiative seeks to nurture and support future environmental champions who will uphold environmental conservation efforts towards sustainable environments.
2. Change attitudes towards environmental conservation – with the fact that with age comes more responsibility, the initiative will be a way of encouraging individual responsibility towards environmental conservation.
